Many people are holding themselves together through tension

You might look functional on the outside, but internally feel:

  • tight

  • exhausted

  • anxious

  • overstimulated

  • disconnected from your body

  • or like your system is always “on”

You may also experience:

  • lower back pain

  • neck and shoulder tension

  • migraines or headaches

  • instability or recurring tightness

  • difficulty fully relaxing

Tension isn’t the same as support

Maybe you’ve noticed:

  • you rarely feel fully relaxed

  • your mind keeps racing even when your body is tired

  • you hold tension no matter how much stretching or massage you get

  • you feel exhausted but still struggle to slow down

  • your body feels tight, unstable, wired, or unsupported

  • rest feels uncomfortable

  • you often feel like you’re “holding yourself together”

Over time, many people unknowingly begin relying on bracing, gripping, breath-holding, and overworking to create a sense of support in their body. This is especially common in people with hypermobility, chronic stress, or nervous system dysregulation.

These patterns are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are often intelligent adaptations developed in response to stress, instability, injury, overwhelm, pressure, or simply the need to keep functioning. Over time, this can become physically and emotionally exhausting.

When the body lacks internal support, the nervous system often responds with increased vigilance, tension and anxiety. The Supported Body method was designed to help change this pattern.

Your body is not the problem — it’s the pathway

True support involves more than strength alone. It includes how we breathe, move, regulate, respond to stress, and relate to ourselves.

Many of us become so accustomed to overriding our body’s signals that we stop noticing how much effort we’re carrying. But support changes things.

When the body feels more supported, breathing often softens, movement becomes easier, tension can reduce, and we regain access to greater steadiness, regulation, resilience, and capacity. Support is not only something we receive externally. It can also be cultivated internally through awareness, breath, movement, environment, and our relationship with our body.

The Supported Body combines:

This work is designed to help you develop a body that feels supported from within.

A Whole-System Approach

The Supported Body is designed to help you build support from within on every level.

This is equal parts:

  • progressive strength and stability training

  • somatic embodiment coaching

Over 12 weeks, you’ll be guided through a structured combination of:

  • progressive strength and stability training

  • 1:1 embodiment coaching sessions

  • group integration calls

  • guided meditations and nervous system practices

  • ongoing support throughout the process

This is not just a program you follow, it’s a process you’re supported through.

A Different Way to Begin

Many people come to this work already carrying a lot.

You may have a history of:

  • lower back pain

  • neck and shoulder tension

  • migraines or headaches

  • hypermobility or instability

  • stress and nervous system overwhelm

You know you “should” strengthen your core or exercise more… but feel unsure where to start.

For some people, training has started to feel like:

  • another thing on the to-do list

  • another area to perform in

  • another place to push through exhaustion

  • or another reminder that their body doesn’t feel good

This program was designed differently.

The Supported Body helps you begin building strength, support, and body awareness gradually through short, manageable practices designed to work with your nervous system rather than against it.

We’re talking about 15 minute exercise session 3x per week from the comfort of your own home (or from a gym if you prefer). All with personalised support to adapt things to your body and abilities.

The goal is not to overwhelm your system.

It’s to create small, consistent experiences of support, steadiness, capability, and trust within your body over time.

You do not need to already feel confident in your body to begin.

Meet Robin

Robin is a somatic embodiment coach, therapeutic movement teacher, and physiotherapist with a background in exercise science, trauma-informed practice, and nervous system education.

Her work bridges physiology and embodiment. She helps people develop support from within through a combination of movement, breathing practices, strength training, and body-based coaching.

After years of working with people experiencing chronic tension, neck and back pain, instability, hypermobility, and anxiety, Robin began to recognise a common thread:

The Supported Body was created in response to this, offering a more integrated and sustainable approach to strength, stability and wellbeing.
